About uS

Hi, I’m Sakshi Sharma. I’m an artist, curator, and a lover of stories — the kind told through brushstrokes, textures, and sacred symbolism. My artistic journey began not with paint, but with stories — whispered by my grandmother under starry skies, and later rediscovered through the writings of Devdutt Pattanaik. Those tales of Krishna ji’s leelas, Radha’s love, the devotion of gopis, and the bhakti of Shrinath ji’s followers planted seeds that would bloom into the kind of art I’m passionate about today. While I explore various forms like abstract, resin art, textured canvases, and sculptural work, my deepest connection is with traditional Indian art, especially Pattachitra and Pichwai paintings.

Artistic Philosophy

For an artist is more than decoration — it’s emotion, energy, and remembrance. Every piece I create or curate tells a story, not just of a deity or a tradition, but of a lived emotion, a childhood memory, or a spiritual moment. As a nature-loving soul, I draw inspiration from waterfalls, lotuses, ponds, tortoises, and the quiet rhythm of the earth. My love for animals, especially cows, goes beyond symbolism — I’ve grown up feeding them by hand, connecting with them in the most grounded and affectionate way. My favorite deities — Maha Lakshmi, Ganpati ji, Hanuman ji, and of course, Krishna ji — aren’t just themes in my art. They’re personal guides, symbols of strength, joy, devotion, and balance.

Why Pattachitra & Pichwai?

There’s a spiritual magnetism in these art forms that I’ve never felt elsewhere.

Pattachitra, from Odisha and Bengal, is known for its intricate narratives of Jagannath, Krishna, and other mythological tales. Painted on cloth with natural colors, it reflects a world of sacred storytelling passed down for centuries.

Pichwai, from Nathdwara, Rajasthan, is traditionally used as temple backdrops, glorifying the divine life of Shrinath ji. Full of gopis, lotuses, cows, and festivity — they evoke a temple’s serenity right into your living space.

By bringing these into your home, you aren’t just adding art to your walls — you’re inviting history, faith, and living tradition into your everyday life.

Our Mission

To bridge the modern and the mythological, to keep handmade Indian art alive, and to bring more people closer to the soul of our culture through curated, meaningful art. Whether you’re a collector, a first-time buyer, or someone just beginning to explore Indian aesthetics — We hope this space inspires you to connect with your roots, your senses, and your spirit.

Our Vision

From Indian Roots to Global Walls At Studio Art House, our vision is to reintroduce the world to the soul of Indian art — its origins, its mythology, and its timeless beauty. We believe that every handmade painting is more than just visual art — it’s a story woven with tradition, faith, and cultural memory. Through intricate detailing and symbolism, these artworks help us remember who we are, where we come from, and what we carry forward. Whether it’s the divine leelas of Krishna ji, the elegance of Radha ji, the grace of cows and gopis, or the sacred stillness of lotuses and temples — every piece reflects our childhood stories, temple visits, grandmother’s tales, and the deep Indian way of living.

Our Goal is to

Preserve and promote India’s spiritual and folk art forms like Pattachitra and Pichwai

Connect generations by keeping these traditions alive in modern homes

Inspire Indian families and global art lovers to embrace, showcase, and celebrate our heritage

Turn every home into a storytelling canvas — where children learn, elders remember, and guests admire

We are here to make Indian art not just an object of décor, but a living expression of culture, memory, and meaning.

Let’s bridge the past with the present, from sacred temples to contemporary homes, from Indian roots to global walls.
